As an Operator Maintainer, you'll help keep essential water services running across the region. Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll be involved in everything from routine maintenance and inspections to troubleshooting issues and supporting emergency response activities when required.

Reporting to the Supervisor Operations, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining and inspecting water supply infrastructure
• Carrying out preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance activities
• Identifying faults and assisting with operational issue resolution
• Monitoring asset condition and reporting potential risks
• Supporting emergency and flood response operations when required

Please note that as part of the requirements for this role, you will participate in a 1 in 3 on-call roster which may require some weekend work. Company housing is available for the successful candidate, subject to Sunwater's accommodation arrangements.

We're looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in maintaining critical infrastructure. You'll be a proactive team player with a strong focus on safety, the ability to solve problems and a willingness to learn and contribute to the team.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

• A current C Class driver's licence
• Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets, or the ability to obtain them
• The ability to obtain a Certificate III in Water Operations
• A willingness to work outdoors and perform physically active work as required
