Work. Are you a Project Manager who enjoys seeing projects through from concept to completion while making a lasting impact on regional communities? Join Sunwater as a Project Manager - Groundwater on a 2-year fixed-term contract, supporting the delivery of the Lower Burdekin Groundwater Project.

Based in either Clare (preferred) or Townsville, you'll report to the GM - North and play a critical role in delivering groundwater infrastructure projects that support one of Queensland's most important agricultural regions. Working on the client side, you'll coordinate a range of internal stakeholder groups, consultants and contractors to deliver safe, compliant and successful project outcomes while balancing technical, commercial and stakeholder requirements.

As Project Manager – Groundwater at Sunwater, you will:

  • Lead the planning, procurement and delivery of this groundwater infrastructure project, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on schedule and within budget.
  • Act as Sunwater's representative, liaising with consultants, contractors and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate project activities from investigation and design through to construction, commissioning and handover.
  • Manage project risks, budgets, schedules and reporting, providing clear insights to project sponsors and senior leaders.
  • Foster strong relationships with landholders, government agencies, contractors and community stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, regulatory and governance requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and the successful delivery of key strategic water infrastructure initiatives.

About you:

You're a proactive project management professional who thrives in a complex stakeholder environment, enjoys project management 101 and thrives on delivering projects that create lasting value.

You'll bring:

  • Experience delivering civil, infrastructure, groundwater, utilities, mining or water-related projects.
  • Strong project management skills across planning, procurement, delivery and contract administration.
  • Experience working with multiple internal stakeholder groups and liaising with contractors and consultants
  • Experience with State and Federal Environmental approvals
  • Qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline (desirable).
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to safety and project excellence.

This 2-year fixed term opportunity offers a competitive salary package, 12.75% superannuation, access to TOIL, 17.5% leave loading and a genuine commitment to work/life balance.
