As the Operator Maintainer – Civil Works you will work under general direction to undertake a range of functions including operational and maintenance activities to ensure efficient and delivery of services. You will undertake fault analysis of operational and maintenance issues and provide recommendations around solutions whilst identifying potential risks and mitigations.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Actively participating in Health & Safety interactions
- Providing support and indirect supervision to lower-level operators
- Supervision of on-site contractors to ensure safe working methods and delivery
- Participating in Emergency Response, Flood Ops and On-Call roster and be able to work towards becoming a Dam Duty Officer
We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years’ experience in civil construction, heavy industry, asset infrastructure or who have relevant experience in a similar role with the ability to organise and prioritise own tasks. You will have experience developing and implementing solutions to routine problems, operate effectively in a changing environment and apply safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:
- Certificate 3 Civil Construction or ability to obtain
- Basic Administration / Computer skills
- Unrestricted HR driver’s licence for manual vehicle
- Operators must be physically fit to perform the manual task requirements of the position, be able to swim, work in confined spaces and work at heights
- Proven pipeline repairs experience
