Join Sunwater as our Project Manager, based in either Clare, Townsville or Mareeba.  Reporting to the Program Delivery Manager, you will deliver projects and works (end to end) associated with pipeline, bulk water and irrigation maintenance, asset refurbishment/replacement and enhancement projects, and dam safety upgrade projects in the Region.  You will also:

• Work with other regional staff and work groups to identify workloads, services required and assist with establishment of procurement agreements-contracts
• Ensure all works programs and individual projects are conducted in a way that ensures risk is at acceptable and tolerable levels at all times and that customers, people, reputation, the environment are not adversely impacted as a result of works.
• Assist with overall planning and annual budgeting for execution of the region’s major maintenance and minor capital works programs
• Assist with development and maintenance of annual, three and five year rolling delivery plans to cater for forward business planning.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager, with a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, qualifications in Project Management OR an equivalent qualification or significant experience (i.e. experience as a Trade Supervisor or Maintenance Coordinator).  You will have experience with the refurbishment, replacement and enhancement and/or delivery of bulk water or heavy industry infrastructure and have strong computer literacy, advanced Excel skills (desirable) and experience with SAP (preferred).  In addition, you will have:

• Excellent Communication Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Innovative – Ability to think innovatively and adapt as necessary to resolve issues and ensure the achievement of project objectives and the management of project risks and opportunities
• Collaborative – ability to work closely with internal stakeholders to identify the program of works required to be delivered
