Come and join Sunwater as our Senior Emergency Management & Planning Advisor where you will provide crisis, emergency and incident response advice to Sunwater, including delivering an ongoing exercise validation program to support continual improvement and develop, and maintain crisis and emergency response plans and procedures.
In addition, you will:
- Develop and maintain crisis management frameworks and response arrangements, including emergency and incident response plans and procedures.
- Provide advice and guidance on strategies to uplift crisis and incident response arrangements.
- Plan, develop and deliver Sunwater’s exercise validation programs to support ongoing improvements.
- Provide direction and advice on training for crisis and incident response teams, including the coordination of the crisis management team.
- Deliver planning and preparation strategies for high-risk weather seasons and other hazards.
We are seeking a skilled professional with demonstrated experience in facilitating crisis, incident and business continuity exercises. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, tertiary qualifications in related field, and demonstrated proficiency in applying the Australasian Inter-Agency Incident Management System. A background in disaster management, law enforcement or military would be highly advantageous.
In addition, you will have the following skills:
- Stakeholder Management – Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
- Effective Communication – Highly developed written communication skills with demonstrated ability to review content and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Critical Thinking – Application of critical thinking and providing flexible solutions in a business setting.
This full-time, 12-month fixed term opportunity based in Fortitude Valley. At Sunwater, we have a genuine emphasis on work/life balance and to ensure you are well-rewarded for your dedication and hard work, this role offers:
- Attractive base salary starting from $141,112 (for a standard 38 hr week)
- 12.75% superannuation
- 17.5% leave loading
