Regional Property Advisor

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for project excellence? Join Sunwater as a Regional Property Advisor, where you’ll play a vital role in providing property related advice on, regional property matters inclusive of third-party construction works, land use and access applications, compliance with licences/agreements between Sunwater and other parties, facilitating property acquisitions and disposals and handovers including recreational area facilities.

As a Regional Property Advisor at Sunwater, you will:

  • Manage to completion, document and maintain all identified regional property matters including encroachments, third party land access and asset location agreements in accordance with the Property Management Framework, including the Property Information Management System
  • Provide advice and recommendations to the regional GM Operations on commercial and operational risk and stakeholder impact in relation to all regional property matters, including regional leasing
  • Provide support to the other members of the Property Services Team on regional property matters with a focus on regional operational considerations.
  • Prepare instructions to legal on regional property matters as required by the regional GM Operations and approved by the Property Services Manager, including attending to the Legal Program of Works
  • Review third party applications for land use or access, assess applications, engage with stakeholders for approval, liaise with applicants and operational staff and undertake physical site inspections where necessary
  • Liaise with government organisations including Local governments for property related matters

We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in property related matters for a commercial entity, a utility services provider or other government entity. You will hold tertiary qualifications in a property or relevant discipline, or extensive experience in a similar role and ideally have 5+ years’ experience in property management or related role . You will also bring:

  • Proven experience in managing a broad range of property related matters including residential tenancies, regional leasing of commercial buildings, land tenure and property transactions
  • A broad understanding of property related legislation
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with regional customers including internal and external stakeholders, and team members
