Join Sunwater as a Study Manager, where you’ll play a vital role in initiating, evaluating, defining and developing projects for new infrastructure or the major augmentation of existing assets in accordance with Sunwater’s project management systems and frameworks. You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to produce robust Strategic Assessments, Options Analysis and Detailed Business Cases, according to the Queensland Business Case Development Framework.
As a Study Manager at Sunwater, you will:
- Steer the various technical aspects of studies to align with Sunwater strategic directions. Aspects of the project within the Study Managers responsibility include environmental and regulatory approvals, economic and financial, technical (science, technology and engineering), business case development, legal and regulatory, commercial and quality assurance.
- Co-ordinate and oversee key project workshops including problem framing, risk identification and value optimisation workshops.
- Identify, manage and escalate project risks to ensure they are understood, and mitigation plans are developed to minimise risk to the project and the wider Sunwater business.
We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in in study management, including Order of Magnitude, Pre-feasibility and Feasibility studies, for medium to large infrastructure projects. You will hold tertiary qualifications in bachelor’s degree in engineering, science or management or equivalent qualifications and the ability to manage multiple projects within a portfolio. You will also bring:
- Commercial expertise: Provide high-level of commercial acumen with the ability to assess problems and potential solutions from an asset Owner’s viewpoint. Represent a commercial image of Sunwater to customers and stakeholders and demonstrate an understanding of financial considerations
- Strategic vision: Ability to effectively manage studies for large scale greenfield and brownfield public infrastructure
- Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team
