Senior Project Engineer

Are you a construction professional with a passion for project excellence? Join Sunwater as a Senior Project Engineer, where you’ll play a vital role in providing specialist professional expert advice in construction and implementation of the Paradise Dam Improvement project and works in accordance with design and best practice elements. In this position you will be responsible for assuming the responsibilities of the management of the site engineering team and oversee essential site activities, travelling to site on a regular basis and when main construction works begin, be part of a yet to be determined roster:

As a Senior Project at Sunwater, you will

  • Providing timely and relevant reporting to the Construction Manager, and others as required, on engineering project progress, including against agreed program and budget, project risks and delivery issues
  • Supervision of construction activities to ensure they are undertaken to the specified quality, proceed on schedule and are achieved within budget
  • The timely and accurate preparation of all QA Documentation for the projects, ensuring quality and compliance to Specifications
  • The ability to lead and manage a team of site and project engineers to deliver the project objectives.
  • On site liaison with the Construction to ensure works are carried out per Design drawings, specifications and design.

 

We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in the delivery of bulk water or infrastructure projects. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and the ability to lead and manage a team of site and project engineers to deliver the project objectives. You will also bring:

  • Project management expertise: Demonstrated engineering project management skills, with experience in analysis of infrastructure projects and the provision of input to the negotiation and development of construction contracts
  • Strategic vision: Preparing briefs and managing contracts for the engagement of contractors and suppliers for construction work, and the monitoring of contractors’ performance to ensure quality outputs
  • Communication skills: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives
