Come and join Sunwater as our Project Cost Officer where you will provide operational delivery of day-to-day costing/finance, procurement and financial administrative services whilst ensuring the service provided is timely, effective and responsive to project team requirements.
In addition, you will:
- Perform accounting, administrative and personnel transactions and maintaining accurate records within the project.
- Perform activities associated with procurement, accounts payable and receivable and systems application (SAP).
- Monitor the financial position of project and work orders and ensure only correct charges are being debited to projects or work orders.
- Undertake financial reporting to enable accurate project or work order tracking and to indicate the overall financial position of various projects.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong understanding of financial management including budgets, revenue, cost, P&L, risk and opportunity accruals and fixed costs. You will have previous experience in supporting a cost or finance team, proven experience in the use and management of a financial system (including SAP), and a diploma level (or higher) qualification in a relevant field. Prior experience in a major project or construction environment would be advantageous.
You will also have:
- Strong Communication – Well-developed communication skills with demonstrated ability to prepare written technical reports, memos, presentations, and other communications in a clear and logical manner.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
- Analytical Thinking – understanding of analytical and conceptual skills including the capability to analyse data, identify anomalies and implement appropriate solutions.
