Join Sunwater as a Project Manager, where you’ll play a vital role in delivering projects associated with pipelines, bulk water and irrigation maintenance, asset refurbishment and enhancement projects, including works involving electrical infrastructure. You will work on dam safety upgrade projects, and other augmented or new bulk water infrastructure projects in the Region.
As a Project Manager at Sunwater, you will:
- Work with other regional staff and work groups to identify workloads, services required and assist with establishment of procurement agreements-contracts for the sourcing of services to support delivery of the works program with a focus on supporting regional Queensland wherever cost, risk and other factors are adequately satisfied.
- Collaborate with relevant teams and personnel to ensure appropriate asset management, maintenance and operational documentation and systems are developed for timely handover of new or refurbished assets as part of change management processes.
- Ensure all works programs and individual projects are conducted in a way that ensures risk is always at acceptable and tolerable levels and that customers, people, reputation, the environment are not adversely impacted as a result of works. Providing effective supervision and leadership consistent with SunWater values and behaviours to contractors and reports under the direct control of the position.
- Monitor and report on the allocated program and project performance and bring drive and energy to ensure annual financial year, regional program completion on a “no surprises” basis.
We are seeking a talented leader with a proven track record in Project Management You will hold tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Project Management and preferably have experience delivery bulk water or infrastructure refurbishment projects. You will also bring:
- P3M expertise: Experience in designing, implementing and maintaining P3M tools and templates to maximise value and ensure project excellence
- Strategic vision: Ability to design and deliver project, program, portfolio improvement strategies and programs
- Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team
