As a Lead Design Draftsperson at Sunwater, you will:
- Lead modelling and drafting support services for engineering design and investigation projects by optimising the development of accurate and effective digital models utilising rapidly evolving technologies.
- Lead a team of drafting professionals to develop and deliver high quality project concepts and detailed designs that support strategic initiatives across Sunwater.
- Collaborate closely with engineers and others to produce reliable, cost-effective project concepts and designs, by managing digitally based asset presentation and visualisation processes (2D, 3D, VR), and enabling the efficient dissemination of such information.
- Partner with engineering and other stakeholders to provide expert technical input that supports delivery of drafting projects on time, within budget, and to agreed standards.
- Lead quality checks and reviews of drafting outputs, including digital models and drawings produced by the team and, where satisfied, formally sign output review documents.
We are seeking a talented individual with a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Lead Designer or Lead Design Drafter. You will hold an associate degree in Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution or recognised equivalent. You will also bring:
- Software experience: Proven experience using AutoCAD and Civil3d.
- Ability to lead: Ability to lead, mentor and uplift capability.
- Communication skills: Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team.
