Supervisor - Civil Works

Work – Reporting to the Maintenance Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading a team that undertakes installations as well as routine, preventative and corrective maintenance activities. You will ensure efficient and effective delivery of services in accordance with business processes, compliance requirements and customer service standards.

As a Civil Works Supervisor at Sunwater, you will:

  • Ensure the team is competent and compliant with Environmental and Regulatory requirements for their roles
  • Ensure that subcontractor management processes are followed and supervision of on-site contractors to ensure safe working methods and delivery
  • Provide support and guidance to Trades performing fault analysis of operational and maintenance issues to find solutions whilst identifying potential risks and mitigations

Please note due to the nature of this role, there will be a 1 in 3 on-call roster which may require weekend work.

 

Sunwater are seeking individuals with experience in a similarly diverse civil maintenance role with well-developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills. You will also have sound knowledge of a range of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and electronic documents recording, with the ability to learn to use SAP-PM (database).

Other skills include:

  • 5 years’ experience post trade qualification, 2 years of that in a supervisory capacity
  • Certificate III in Civil Construction
  • Certificate IV in Civil Supervision (desirable)
  • Class ‘C’ driver’s licence
  • Relevant tickets to operate earthworks plant (excavator, skid steer, backhoe etc.)
  • Experience and relevant qualifications to perform confined space entry, working at heights, excavation or ability to obtain
