Join Sunwater as a Sustainability Advisor, where you’ll play a vital role in preparing greenhouse gas emissions estimates and providing general support to the broader sustainability function. You will also prepare and deliver data extracts and reports for internal use, regulatory submissions, and public disclosures.
As a Sustainability Advisor at Sunwater, you will:
- Ensure the accurate capture and validation of sustainability data for greenhouse gas emissions accounting and broader sustainability reporting, working collaboratively with data providers to address gaps.
- Coordinate the storage, assurance and reporting of sustainability data and documentation, collaborating with teams across the business.
- Coordinate Sunwater’s greenhouse gas emissions working group and support continuous improvement of greenhouse gas emissions accounting and sustainability reporting processes.
- Provide practical sustainability advice across projects, staff, and stakeholder engagement, and contribute to broader activities including infrastructure sustainability, climate risk and sustainability reporting.
- Support internal and external assurance activities to strengthen compliance and governance processes
We are seeking a team member with experience in greenhouse gas accounting and understanding of climate risk and sustainability. Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline. Experience with infrastructure sustainability projects is beneficial but not essential. You will also bring:
- Accuracy: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review data and support others to ensure information is fit for purpose.
- Communication skills: Clear, effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting high‑quality reports and insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Continual Improvement: Ability to uplift sustainability assessments and contribute to improvement of standardised business processes.
This role is a 12-month fixed term contract. This role offers an array of attractive benefits including:
- Base salary starting from $129,897.17
