Work - As the Operator Maintainer – Civil Works, you'll be part of a hands-on team responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving Sunwater's water delivery infrastructure. This is a physically active role where no two days are the same. You'll undertake a variety of civil maintenance activities including pipe repairs, leak rectification, excavation works, concrete repairs, vegetation management and routine asset inspections across our network.

Working outdoors in a dynamic environment, you'll operate equipment, assist with construction and maintenance projects and respond to unplanned maintenance issues to help ensure reliable water delivery to our customers.

As an Operator Maintainer – Civil Works at Sunwater, you will:

• Undertake hands-on civil maintenance and repair activities on pipelines, channels and associated infrastructure
• Actively participating in Health & Safety interactions
• Providing support and indirect supervision to lower-level operators
• Supervision of on-site contractors to ensure safe working methods and delivery
• Conduct required maintenance activities to Sunwater water delivery infrastructure.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is mechanically minded and takes pride in delivering quality work. Experience in civil construction, landscaping, earthmoving, agriculture or a similar hands-on environment will be highly regarded.

You will also bring:

• Experience in a physically demanding, outdoor or trade-related environment
• Ability to obtain Certificate 3 Civil Construction
• Confined Space & working at heights licenses (or willingness to obtain)
• Basic Administration / Computer skills
• C Class Drivers Licence 
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and resolve routine operational and maintenance issues while managing associated risks
