Work. Are you an experienced Facilities Lead with a passion for driving facility excellence across our corporate offices in Fortitude Valley and Townsville?  Come and join Sunwater as our Facilities Lead in this permanent position.

This position leads the Corporate Facilities team to ensure a welcoming, safe, efficient and well-maintained environment that supports the productivity and satisfaction of all employees and visitors.  The Facilities Lead is also responsible for managing projects such as office refurbishments and fit outs (with support of external Project Management capability).  Other key responsibilities include:

  • Lead processes related to corporate facilities including reception services, security access and contractor management.
  • Lead the review and continuous improvement of the Corporate Facilities strategy and business plan including leasing, contract management and budget. 
  • Ensure compliance with activities related to fire and security services equipment and training, and Asset Management system compliance. 
  • Monitor and ensure facilities management activities are conducted within budget and comply with current legislation.
  • Manage and communicate safety and security issues and incidents including acting as the point of contact for building management (including after hours), building access, end of trip facilities and related tenancy issues.  

We are seeking an experienced FM professional with 7+ years experience in similar role in facilities management or office management. You will have a sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, Contractor Management and have a high level of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across all levels of the business. As the Facilities Lead, you will have the ability to lead and mentor your team, delegate tasks effectively and efficiently and ensure deadlines and commitments are met in a fast paced environment.

This is a permanent term opportunity, based full time at our Fortitude Valley office.
