Join Sunwater as Engineer – Technical Standards where you’ll play a vital role supporting the Principal Engineer – Technical Standards with the development and maintenance of Sunwater’s technical standards for the Engineering Services business unit, helping to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the business.

As Engineer – Technical Standards at Sunwater, you will:

• Support the development and maintenance of Engineering & Water Resources Design Management Framework by participating in audits, monitoring continuous improvement processes and continually update system documentation to achieve best practice.
• Assist in the development of construction related technical standards for water infrastructure suitable for Sunwater led projects as well as the Alliance type projects.
• Engage with individuals and with teams to provide any necessary systems training to enhance the understanding of the design management system across the E&WR business and work with a broad range of internal stakeholders to promote the business advantage of compliance with the system.

We are seeking a talented individual with an eye for detail, and a demonstrated ability in understanding asset owner requirements for construction. You will ideally hold a tertiary qualification in either Civil, Mechanical (Ideal) or Electrical Engineering disciplines with a minimum of 2 years design experience with proven experience working on a construction site. You will also bring:

• Engineering expertise: Understanding of technical standards & specifications pertaining to civil, mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines
• Strategic vision: Ability to interact with the Service Delivery groups to ensure appropriate asset management and operational requirements have been considered in the development of Technical Standards
• Communication skills: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.
