We are looking for an experienced Health and Wellbeing professional and people leader to join our team and lead the development and delivery of programs and initiatives that support the health, wellbeing and safety of our people.

This is an influential leadership role where you’ll lead a small team of Health & Wellbeing Advisors and work closely with leaders across the business to shape best-practice approaches to health and wellbeing. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our health and wellbeing strategy, rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes, and support the health and wellbeing of our people.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Lead and continually improve our rehabilitation and return-to-work framework, including the management and response to physical and psychological injury claims, supporting positive employee outcomes while reducing workers’ compensation claims and associated costs.
• Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Sunwater’s Health & Wellbeing programs and key initiatives.
• Partner with leaders across the business, providing coaching and expert advice to embed best-practice health and wellbeing strategies.
• Oversee health and safety service provider contracts, ensuring outsourced services deliver effective and responsive support.
• Prepare high-quality executive and Board reporting on health and safety performance, trends and key areas of focus.
• Develop targeted health and wellbeing risk-reduction and assurance strategies, including managing associated budgets and initiatives.
• Lead, coach and mentor a small team of Health & Wellbeing Advisors, building capability, supporting professional development and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

We’re looking for an experienced Health & Wellbeing Lead with 7+ years’ experience in a similar health, wellbeing or occupational health leadership role, supported by a degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Nursing, Allied Health or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience. You’ll bring Mental Health First Aid certification and Rehabilitation and Return to Work accreditation, along with strong stakeholder engagement, coaching and influencing skills. With the confidence to provide expert advice across all levels of the organisation, you’ll be skilled at translating health and wellbeing data, risks and trends into practical strategies that deliver meaningful outcomes for our people and the business.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, available for an immediate start, based in our Fortitude Valley Office. This role offers an attractive base salary of $165,882, plus 12.75% superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
