Based in our South Region, you'll oversee operational and maintenance activities across a diverse portfolio including dams, weirs, pump stations, channel systems and water treatment plants. You'll lead operational teams, support critical decision-making and play a key role in emergency and flood response activities across the region.
As an Operations Coordinator at Sunwater, you will:
- Lead teams responsible for operational and maintenance activities, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with compliance requirements.
- Drive a strong safety culture through audits, investigations and proactive health and safety leadership.
- Provide technical advice and support to Supervisors and Operators to resolve operational and maintenance issues.
- Manage emergency response, flood operations and on-call rosters, providing leadership during critical events.
- Oversee monthly planning and scheduling activities, ensuring work programs are delivered effectively.
- Build strong relationships with customers, contractors and stakeholders, acting as a key escalation point when required.
- Contribute to budgeting activities and manage operational and corrective maintenance expenditure.
About you:
You are a practical and capable leader who enjoys supporting teams, solving problems and delivering outcomes in a field-based operational environment.
You'll bring:
- Extensive experience within the water industry, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Certificate III in Water Operations.
- Strong administration and computer skills, including experience with operational and asset management systems.
- Experience managing safety, compliance and operational performance.
- The ability to lead confidently during emergency and flood response events.
