Work - Reporting to the Supervisor Operations, the Storage Operator is responsible for undertaking operational and maintenance activities to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient delivery of water services. You will contribute to the operation of critical water infrastructure, investigate operational and maintenance issues, and identify effective solutions while proactively managing risks and implementing appropriate controls.
Other responsibilities include:
- Maintaining surveillance and monitoring of water supply infrastructure.
- Undertaking routine dam and flood surveillance activities, including reporting and responding to emergencies or breakdowns to minimise service interruptions.
- Scheduling, controlling, measuring and monitoring water distribution through natural waterways and engineered delivery systems.
- Supporting the operation and maintenance of water treatment facilities, while maintaining accurate records and operational logs.
- Participating in emergency response and flood operations as required
This role is worked on an 8/6 roster and includes shared on-call duties on a 1-in-2 rotating basis which may include weekend work.
Sunwater are seeking individuals with experience in a similar role, Cert III in Water Operations (or ability to obtain) and can supervise site activities and supporting dam and emergency operations. You will have sound knowledge of a range of computer applications, including SAP and Microsoft Office.

- Strong knowledge of dam, storage and water infrastructure operations
