Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for project excellence? Join Sunwater as a Network Administrator where you’ll play a vital role in implementation, maintenance, and support of Sunwater’s network infrastructure. You will be is part of the infrastructure team that ensures a secure and efficient ICT environment for the organisation across corporate and operational technology networks.

As a Network Administrator at Sunwater, you will:

  • Lead ongoing maintenance and monitoring of network infrastructure across Queensland, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Participate in high level network architecture design planning workshops for network upgrade projects and be able to provide expert advice and input into the architecture of the Sunwater network.
  • Partner with other business units to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with operational technology systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships for network support agreements with managed service providers in line with contractual expectations.
  • Review, create and maintain architectural documentation of Sunwater’s network assets.

We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in network administration, with proven experience with Palo Alto NGFW and Cisco Meraki . You will hold a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience and training and have experience in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices in a complex WAN environment across segmented ICT and Operational Technology networks. You will also bring:

  • Cloud computing connectivity experience (Azure and Express Route)
  • Cisco Meraki Configuration and Management Experience
  • Relevant industry certification (e.g., PCNSE, PCNSA, PCSFE, CMSS, CCNA, CCNP, Network+)
  • Experience with network technologies such as Routers, Switches, Access Points, SD-WAN, NGFW, Proxy/Web Filtering, VPN, NAC, 802.1x
