You will work collaboratively and cross-functionally to develop and implement initiatives and strategies to educate and engage community audiences about the risks of living, playing and working near Sunwater’s infrastructure.  As the Senior Community Relations Advisor at Sunwater, you will:

• Act as the business’ key advisor on public safety and emergency communication and engagement.
• Lead the development of community relations initiatives, such as awareness campaigns, education programs and open days ensuring consistency and quality of stakeholder interactions.
• Manage Sunwater’s community investment strategy and program, providing high level governance oversight and business support.
• Lead the annual review of the Emergency Communication Guideline, working with key functions to ensure material is correct and replicated in systems as well as delivering system and process training to members of the Media on-call team.

We are seeking a talented individual with 7+ years experience in a similar role working in regional communities within the resources, utilities or infrastructure sectors.  You will have highly-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to a range of audiences. You will  have a degree in communication, public relations or related discipline and have exceptional time management skills with the ability to work in an evolving environment with multiple and competing priorities. You will also be:

• Strategic: Demonstrated experience in developing and executing impactful engagement and communication strategies, including across social media platforms.
• Influential: Highly-developed negotiation skills with the ability to partner with external and internal stakeholders to influence positive outcomes.
• Analytical: Strong reporting and evaluation skills to provide data-based insights.

This role offers an attractive base salary starting from $156,360.36, 12.75% superannuation, 17.5% leave loading and a genuine emphasis on work/life balance, ensuring you are well-rewarded for your dedication and hard work.

Please note that due to the nature of this role, there will be regular and seasonal travel to Sunwater regional facilities.  You will also be required to take part in an on-call roster for one week in every 7 to 8 weeks.
